What tithing means to me. Tithing is very important to me because it is what God said we should do. Not only does God bless you in return with money, God also will keep you and your family.  I remember once when I thought I was going to have to pay income taxes, but by paying my tithes God stepped in and blessed me. Not only did I not have to pay taxes but I was blessed with a good return.   I also must share; I was injured at work and God had been good to my family and myself.   We have not been without anything, we still have a roof over our head, food on our table and bills paid.   We have not had any sickness in our family as well.   Read Malachi 3:8-11 and you will see what I am talking about.    I want to thank you for giving me a chance to share what tithing has done for me and what it will do to others.   May God continue to bless and keep you.

Tithing to me is a personal commitment to the word of God; it is a very small personal sacrifice to receive blessings that cannot be measured.  We receive far more than we give, God’s return is much greater than the 10% he asks us for.

To me and my family, tithing means being obedient to GOD and operating under GOD'S financial plan.  Our HEAVENLY FATHER tells us to bring all the tithes into the storehouse, (which is our place of worship) so that we are not God-robbers…Malachi 3:8-12.  We believe in being in the will of GOD, giving HIM what is rightfully HIS, that is, a tenth of our increase.  Because we are tithers, we are giving GOD permission to get involved in our finances.  Therefore we tithe GOD says that HE will rebuke the devourer for our sakes and keep him (the devourer) from destroying the fruit of our ground. Because we are tithers, we do not have to depend on the world system. GOD in HIS word says that it is HE who gives us power to get wealth, so that HE may establish HIS covenant, Deut.8:18.  In our lives we know GOD'S word is true because we are obedient to HIS word and we are true tithers , consistently giving a tenth of our increase and marveling at the good things that GOD does in our lives daily.

The Bible is very instructive on this matter. In the third book of Malachi the10th verse it says to bring the tithes into the storehouse so that there may be meat in my house. Then in Luke 6:38 it says give and it shall be given unto you a good measure press down, shaken together and running over.

I pay my tithes to God because it is another form of worship to God in obedience to his Word.  According to Malachi 3:10 "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that  there may be food in my house, and try Me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such a blessing, that there will not be room enough to receive it”.  God promised in his Word that if we do this, then  our financial future will be secure and God will rebuke the devourer for our sakes so that he can not destroy the fruit of our ground.
